The SCC DW Short Breaks for children with disabilities open tender is an exceptional opportunity to provide impactful services to children and young people (CYP) with additional needs and disabilities (AN&D) and their families. Surrey County Council is commissioning these services to improve the lives of CYP through meaningful short breaks that foster emotional and physical well-being, enhance social interactions, and provide essential respite for families.
The services are vital for families, enabling them to take breaks from their caregiving responsibilities while their children engage in safe, supportive, and inclusive activities.
Scope of SCC DW Short Breaks
The tender includes the provision of Short Breaks services under multiple lots, targeting diverse needs:
- Lot 1: Play & Leisure for CYP with Additional Needs & Disabilities (AN&D).
- Lot 2: Play & Leisure Autism Support.
- Lot 3: Play & Leisure Complex Health Needs.
- Lot 4: Play & Leisure Visual Impairment (VI).
- Lot 5: Specialist Play & Leisure for CYP with multiple disabilities, including 1:1 or 2:1 support.
- Lot 6: Overnight Short Breaks for CYP and their families.
- Lot 7: Family Breaks supporting CYP with complex needs and their families.
- Lot 8: Innovation Fund for creative, tailored solutions to emerging needs.
