North Northamptonshire Council is commissioning Primary Care Networks (PCN) to deliver essential long-acting reversible contraception (LARC) services.
This tender offers healthcare providers an opportunity to support community reproductive healthcare while ensuring compliance with NHS & NICE standards.
Contract Duration: 1 April 2025 – 31 March 2027

Scope of Services
Subdermal Contraceptive Implants (SDI)
✔ Insertion & Removal
Providers must follow NICE Clinical Guideline CG30.
✔ Patient Education
Inform patients about all contraceptive options.
✔ Sexual Health Screening
STI risk assessment & referrals if required.
✔ Aftercare Guidance
Educating patients on implant use & discontinuation.
Subdermal Contraceptive Implants (SDI)
✔ Fitting & Removal
Providers must use licensed IUD/IUS devices.
✔ Chlamydia Screening
Providers must use licensed IUD/IUS devices.
